End The Corporate State
This is a very important day for the Occupy Movement. We need all occupiers to join us Tuesday. We have been given a great opportunity to teach young people the history of the movement, what the movement is doing right now and why we are fighting for their future and the future of America. We keep asking, how can we get young people involved. This is it, a perfect way to reach out and get them involved in our community. Don’t let this opportunity slip away. Benedictine University is estimating that 320 students will be in attendance for this event.
E-mail us at occupynaperville@gmail.com and let us know that you are coming to help with our largest teach-in to date. If we do this well, there could be other opportunities in the future for teach-ins to build the movement. Don’t forget to bring your sign. “PEOPLE UNITED WILL NOT BE DEFEATED”

Check out the Naperville Sun article about the April 10, 2012 Annual Lisle Township Meeting victorious vote to put the Move to Amend question on the Nov. 6th ballot for all Lisle Township voters in DuPage County in Illinois. This results in over 75,000 voters seeing this question on their ballot.
4/13/12 Naperville Sun: Activists aim to curtail corporate political clout
Watch the Comcast Channel 19 TV show Public Perspective interview of Sharon Sanders and Steve Alesch regarding the Move to Amend the US Constitution to get corporate money out of OUR elections.
Speak up to pass the Move to Amend Resolution at the Naperville City Council Meeting, 6pm-7:30pm, Tuesday April 17, 2012. The City Council Chambers are located at 400 S. Eagle Street, Naperville.
Join several citizens who plan to urge the Naperville City Council to pass a resolution to call for an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to get corporate money out of OUR elections.
Support the Amendment to the US Constitution to Abolish Corporate Personhood and the Doctrine of Money as Speech.
Over 100 cities and 3 states have already passed the resolution, including New York City, Los Angeles, New Mexico, Alaska, and Hawaii. Los Angeles passed it unanimously!
You do not have to be a resident of Naperville to speak to the Naperville City Council during the public comment portion of the City Council Meeting, but it’s preferable (please arrive no later then 6:00pm). We also need people to be there in support of Move to Amend, even if you don’t plan to speak (please arrive no later than 6:30pm).
This is a non-partisan issue. This is an American issue.
In a Democracy the People Rule
We MOVE TO AMEND

To all Occupiers: We have great news to share. Tuesday night (April 10) was the annual Lisle Township meeting. On the agenda to be voted on was whether to have the following question put on the November 6th 2012 ballot for all Lisle Township voters: “Should the United States Constitution be amended to clearly state that only individual persons, and not corporations, associations, or any other organizational entities are entitled to the rights enumerated in the constitution?”
It passed. This was a huge victory for Occupynaperville. The only reason why this was on the agenda tonight was because of Occupynaperville. A special thanks needs to go out to Nate Pietsch, Steve Aleach, Judy Bloom, and Paul Sjordal. To all Lisle Township voters, remember when you go to the voting polls in November and you see this question on the ballot, it’s because of the work done by Occupynaperville.
This is only the first part. Part two is to get the message out to the voters on why they need to vote yes. PEOPLE UNITED WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED. In a Democracy the People Rule!
